First things first, if you think you have mould or asbestos present and are concerned about your immediate health. Please call for instructions and information at 1-833-367-7354

Typically mould presents no extreme risks to our health in the short term. Symptoms of contact can include flu, cold and allergy-like symptoms.

Asbestos is not visible to the human eye and has long term health risks, typically in the form of cancer or lung disease. Unless it was disturbed and particles are airborn, it most likely isn't a major health concern at this time.

Mold Damage

If you've experience flood damage, time is of the essence. The longer you wait, the more damage is caused. Please contact the appropriate water damage restoration technician for more information. If you already have mold damage or mould present, please follow the steps below.

Mould is Present

Mould damage is caused by mould growth due to sitting water, flooding, humidity, dampness, dark areas. It is most commonly found in bathrooms, window sills, basements and dark damp areas. Mould can cause flu or cold like symptoms or can cause allergie type reactions. Once disturbed mould may become airborn and cause the symptoms to worsen.

Please go through the following steps to ensure you take the appropriate steps to have your mould issues taken care of.

Step 1: Identify the source causing the mould. If it's water damage, call the appropriate water restoration company immediately. If it's a humidity or other related issue please move on to step 2

Step 2: Smell the air, if it smells musty, the chances are spores are already airborne

Step 3: Do not try to remove it yourself unless you've been properly trained. Improper treatment can release mould spores into the air causing contamination throughout the house and further issues and expense.

Step 4: If the mould has caused serious damage, contact your insurance adjustor to find out if you have insurance coverage for mould damage. If the mould is not at the point of damaging its surroundings it may be cheaper to skip the insurance claim.

Step 5: Have us treat the mould. We'll come in and take the appropriate measures to ensure your home is safe for use. We'll also take the necessary steps to ensure we address the cause and ensure it doesn't return.

Step 6: Have us complete an air test to ensure the air is safe and mould levels are under control.

Step 7: It might be worth looking into a dehumidifier. If you don't already have one, we can point you in the right direction. We also offer units for sale.

Step 8: Enjoy your safe air, breathe properly again and rest easy knowing your air is safe.

Asbestos

Asbestos

If your house was built prior to 1990 and your doing renovations or demolition, chances are you'll require some form of asbestos abatement. Please follow the steps below to have someone come out as quickly as possible.

Step 1: Identify if your house was built prior to 1990. Homes built prior to 1990 require testing before any renovation or demolition. Houses built after 1990 are safe to continue unless known knowledge of old building products containing asbestos are present.

Step 2: Typically asbestos remediation is not covered under insurance, it may be worth speaking with your adjuster anyways.

Step 3: Have us come out for a consultation and bulk sample testing. While we're completing the bulk sample, all occupants must leave the building.

Step 4: We send samples off for lab testing, if they return negative, we provide documentation to prove such. If found positive we will need to complete remediation. During the remediation process, occupants must leave the property during the entire process.

Step 5: Once remediation is complete, we will request 3rd party air testing to ensure the site is safe. We then remove all containment and once cleared, you can return to the building. We will then provide documentation of completion.

Step 6: Enjoy your safe air, breathe properly again and rest easy knowing your air is safe.
