Sewer Backup Restoration - Residential Bungalow, St. James
A complete sewer backup flooded the basement of a 1960s bungalow with Category 3 (sewage-contaminated) water. Drywall, insulation, flooring, and contents were all affected. The homeowner had recently renewed their policy and the adjuster needed rapid documentation.
Commercial Mould Remediation - Office Building, Downtown Winnipeg
A persistent roof leak over 18 months had allowed mould to colonise the HVAC system intake area and spread into two floors of drywall. Tenants reported respiratory symptoms. The building manager needed remediation completed without disrupting daily business operations.
Crawlspace Mould Remediation - Residential Home, Transcona
A homeowner purchased a 1978 two-storey in Transcona and discovered extensive mould growth on the crawlspace floor joists during a pre-possession inspection. The previous owner had installed plastic vapour barrier incorrectly, trapping moisture against the wood. Nearly 400 sq ft of joists showed active mould growth and early wood rot.
Commercial Asbestos Abatement - 1960s Office Renovation, Downtown Winnipeg
A commercial property developer purchased a 1962-era three-storey office building downtown and planned a full gut renovation. A pre-renovation asbestos survey identified asbestos-containing materials in six locations: floor tile adhesive (mastic), ceiling tile, pipe lagging, HVAC duct wrap, window caulking, and spray-applied fireproofing on structural steel. The developer needed a complete Level 2 and Level 3 abatement package before trades could begin.
Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration - Kitchen Fire, St. Vital
A kitchen fire in a 1990s bi-level caused moderate structural damage in the kitchen and severe smoke and soot damage throughout the entire home. The fire suppression foam used by the fire department added a third layer of contamination. The homeowner's contents - furniture, clothing, and personal items - were spread across all floors and needed assessment, cleaning, and storage during the restoration.
