Certified Experts in Asbestos, Mould, Water, Fire, and Indoor Air Quality

IICRC Certified Technicians
The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) sets the global standard for restoration work. Relief Restorations follows IICRC S500, S520, and S700 and maintains multiple technician certifications including: Water damage (WRT), Fire damage (FSRT), Odour control (OCT) and Mould, (AMRT), and more.
Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)

This certification covers the science of water intrusion, structural drying, psychrometry, and moisture measurement. It ensures we understand how different building materials respond to water, how to prevent secondary damage, and how to dry a structure safely and efficiently following IICRC S500 standards.
Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)

FSRT training provides a detailed understanding of how fire, heat, and smoke impact building materials and contents. It covers soot removal methods, corrosion control, deodorization strategies, and proper cleaning techniques. This training ensures that fire affected areas are restored safely, thoroughly, and according to industry guidelines.
Odour Control Technician (OCT)

OCT certification focuses on identifying odour sources, selecting the right treatment methods, and applying safe and effective odour removal techniques. This includes the use of air filtration, cleaning systems, and approved deodorization products. It ensures that odour issues from smoke, mould, pets, or water damage are eliminated rather than masked.
Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)

AMRT certification provides advanced training in mould remediation, microbial contamination, and the health risks associated with poor indoor air quality. It covers containment, air filtration, safe removal of affected materials, and proper cleaning and treatment methods. This training ensures all mould work aligns with IICRC S520 standards for safe and effective remediation.
These certifications ensure our work aligns with industry best practices for structural drying, water intrusion, smoke and soot cleanup, odour removal, and mould remediation.

ASBESTOS CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS
Asbestos Training and Certification
Our team is trained and certified to safely manage, remove, and inspect asbestos-containing materials in accordance with Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health regulations. We follow all requirements for testing, containment, abatement procedures, disposal practices, and post-remediation verification.
Training includes asbestos identification, risk assessment, safe work procedures, air monitoring, containment setup, and regulatory compliance.
InterNACHI Inspection Certifications
We are certified through InterNACHI, the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, which ensures our inspection practices follow established industry standards. This training supports our ability to identify building defects, moisture issues, ventilation problems, and environmental concerns accurately and professionally. As we continue to expand our qualifications with additional InterNACHI certifications, clients can rely on thorough, consistent, and well-documented inspection services.

We are certified through InterNACHI to utilize drones during inspections using proper investigative techniques. This includes identifying visible mould, assessing moisture sources, reviewing ventilation problems, roof issues, and more. Clients receive clear findings, photos, and actionable recommendations. Pilots have Transport Canada licenses.
