What it does and why it is used
Containment is built from polyethylene sheeting, framing, and sealed zippered doorways to fully enclose the work area. Combined with negative air, it keeps mould spores or asbestos fibres inside the work zone and protects the rest of your home or building.
Typical restoration applications
- Isolating mould and asbestos work areas
- Protecting unaffected parts of the building
What to expect on site
Plastic barriers and sealed doorways will be built around the work area for the duration of the project.
Typical operating times
Stays in place from setup until the work passes final clearance.
Noise
None on its own (the negative air machine inside provides the airflow).
Safety
A protective barrier; please do not open or disturb the sealed doorways.
Can it be turned off?
Not applicable - it is a physical barrier and must stay sealed until clearance.
