Preparing for Water Damage Restoration
Water damage gets worse by the hour. A few simple steps before our crew arrives can limit the spread, protect your belongings, and speed up the restoration. Here is exactly what to do before, during, and after our visit.
Overview
About This Service
Water damage restoration removes water, dries the structure, and returns your property to pre-loss condition. Our certified technicians use professional extraction, industrial drying equipment, and moisture monitoring to stop hidden damage, prevent mould, and restore affected materials, whether the source was a burst pipe, an appliance failure, a sewer backup, or a flood.

Safety Information
Important Safety Notes
Leave drying equipment running
Air movers and dehumidifiers must run continuously, often for several days. Turning them off, even overnight, slows drying and risks mould.
Expect noise and airflow
Drying equipment is loud and moves a lot of air. This is normal and necessary. We can discuss placement if it affects a bedroom or workspace.
Watch your footing
Floors may be slippery and cords will be present. Step carefully and keep children away from equipment.
Avoid electrical contact with water
Never touch outlets, switches, or electronics in or near standing water. Let us know about any affected electrical areas.

Recommendations & Best Practices
Keep the area ventilated
Maintain airflow and a normal indoor temperature to support continued drying once equipment is removed.
Watch for warning signs
Report any musty odours, discolouration, or soft spots right away so we can address them before mould develops.
Plan any rebuild
Once everything is verified dry, we can coordinate repairs such as drywall, flooring, and paint to return your space to pre-loss condition.
